A very special cuvée from 2013 christened "Vive-la-Joie" is a blend of Burgundy’s two famous grape varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Made traditionally with the ‘Méthode Champenoise’ over a period of 36 months which sees each bottle turned by hand; to produce one of the best Crémants.
I call it the ‘Rolls Royce’ as they use the very best of what nature offers and the very best of French ‘Savoir Faire’.
This vintage is extraordinary and a true joy to drink. Crisp to start but with a mellowing of sweet almond biscuit and blossom to follow.
This can easily fool in any blind Champagne tasting!
